The short story
Vicki Schaefer is an association and nonprofit professional with extensive experience in membership, business development, client success, and organizational leadership. Her career has included work with both global associations and state trade associations, giving Vicki experience working with a wide range of members, chapters, boards, and volunteer leaders. She has built strong partnerships, grown membership communities, developed new revenue opportunities, and managed programs and events that bring people together and create lasting value.
Vicki genuinely enjoys working with people and building relationships, while also bringing a strategic and business-minded perspective to her work. She’s a natural connector who likes looking at the bigger picture, identifying opportunities for growth, and figuring out the practical steps to move an idea forward. Her experience includes building revenue, budget development and analysis, and using financial and performance data to help guide decisions. Whether she’s working with a board, supporting a team, or developing a new initiative, Vicki enjoys turning strategy into action and helping people work toward a shared goal.
Outside of work, Vicki is an active disability advocate and stays involved in her Central Texas community and nonprofit organizations. She and her husband, John, are the proud parents of two adult sons, Harry and Brent. In her free time, she loves cooking, quilting, spending time with family, and keeping up with her backyard flock of chickens.
